An ideal retreat at any time of the year.

The wonderful scenery of the Northern Fells and Lakes (Skiddaw can be seen from the kitchen window) as well as the Cumbrian towns of Keswick, Silloth, Cockermouth and Whitehaven are all within easy reach. Have an ice cream on the beach at Allonby. There are also walks from the cottage door around the countryside.
